Customs procedures
Vehicles purchased from third countries must undergo mandatory customs procedures, which cannot be expedited.
Once a container vessel arrives at the port, the container is unloaded from the ship within 1–3 business days. After unloading, the container is transported to customs warehouses. The unloading of the vehicle from the container is handled by a customs broker. Cargo handling operations may take up to 2 weeks. After the unloading process is completed, the vehicle is photographed.
The calculation of customs duty may take 2–3 business days. Customs duty is calculated based on the total amount of all incurred costs. A duty rate of 10% applies to cars, while motorcycles are subject to a 8% duty.
